Dr. Koopman practices general urology and specializes in a variety of areas, which include complex surgical and medical management of stone disease, laparoscopic and robotic management of both benign and malignant urologic disease processes, including robotic/laparoscopic prostatectomy, cystectomy, nephrectomy, and partial nephrectomy. Dr. Koopman has contributed to several book chapters on the management of stone disease and the use of molecular targeted imaging strategies in the staging of kidney cancer.

Dr. Koopman has been everything I could have hoped for in a urologist. Professional, personable and a gentleman who has guided me through the woods of life down there and now I find myself at a much better place.
