Steve has been my eye doc for over 30 years. He has genuine concern for his patients and relates very well with them.

Had a sudden partial loss of vision in one eye. Called for an appointment and got one the same day.I was given a thorough eye exam and was diagnosed with a capillary hemorrhage that should clear up on it’s own. The sudden vision loss was very disconcerting, and I appreciated the quick examination and diagnosis that alleviated my anxiety. Doctor Dingledein is the best!

If anything out of the ordinary shows up during the exam he goes out of his way to present his findings in a non frightening way and explain all options available. I highly recommend him.

Excellent physician! Dr. Dingeldein only prescribes new glasses if it is necessary unlike some eye doctors who prescribe new glasses every time you get an eye check-up.

Always on time.. professional and nice. My last exam I didn’t have him.. my appointment was at 8:45 I didn’t leave till almost 11:00 for an eye exam

I was very disappointed in the way I was treated from the time I walked in this office. I was told to come in 15 minutes early for my appointment, which I did and my appointment was for 2:15 and I waited til 3:00 before being called back. From the front desk to the exam from a lady who seemed to be rushing me all around. I can not walk very fast and she kept running off and leaving me. She wasn't friendly and just seemed to want to hurry up and rush me through. I was diagnosed with significant diabetic retinopathy from my PCP office. When Mr. Dingeldein came in, he spent maybe 5 minutes with me. Said I didn't have it. I told him the black lines in my left eye were getting worse , every day I see more and more of those lines in my eyesight. He said if they get worse to come back. They are worse than they've ever been. He made a point to tell me he had been doing this for 40 years. Even as I type this the black lines I see are covering my eye.

Dr. D helped me in 2005 when I had a severe eye infection. He guided me to two successful specialty treatments, one at UNC Eye & one at Duke Eye. I have faith in his judgment and guidance and will be with him as long as he continues to practice. Brilliant doctor (and this is from a Duke fan!)

Best I have ever had. Already blind in 1 eye for 54 years. He takes very good care of the other one. Need more like him.

Wasn't very friendly, didn't give specifics on Rx and drops for how/whenhow much to take. Left nurse to submit Rx to pharmacy and she didn't know the specifics and didn't ask dr. was given opened eye drops which was told had been sterilized but no way to tell uncomfortable with it.
