Dr. Steve Lucey, MD, focuses on helping people return to the activities they enjoy. Dr. Lucey is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience. He specializes in sports medicine and joint replacement, especially knee conditions like cartilage restoration, ligament reconstruction, and outpatient knee replacement surgery.

As a former Division I soccer player at Clemson University, Dr. Lucey brings medical expertise and firsthand athletic experience to his practice. This perspective continues to shape his approach to orthopedic care for patients. At EmergeOrtho, Dr. Lucey sees patients in Greensboro at our Wendover Avenue Orthopedic Clinic and in Asheboro.

Dr. Lucey proudly provides orthopedic care in the Triad Region. He integrates advanced, patient-centered treatments. As a strong patient advocate, he helps shift care to outpatient centers to improve surgical results.
