I visited Dr. Lucey after seeing two other Orthopedic Surgeons in the area. Dr. Lucey offered two alternatives including physical therapy that the others didn’t. I am currently back to normal physical activity with good results from his recommendations and expertise….and without having complicated knee revision surgery. Dr. Lucey listened, reviewed X-rays and medical data, analyzed joint mobilization and prescribed the appropriate approach. 5 star!

Very thankful for his honesty. Others might have been ready to cut on me even after five surgeries on one knee. If I ever need to be seen again I will definitely be back.

Dr Lucey replaced both of my knees and did an excellent job. I couldn’t imagine ever having anyone else do my surgeries. He has turned my life around.

He come in after the PA and said we have to get a MRI. No big deal but I was and still am in pain it is very difficult to get any rest when you have to work. I did not get any advice from this doctor about helping me deal with this terrible pain. A compound cream or something would have maybe helped. But he left without telling me anything about how to get some comfort.

My visit was not a friendly one. He was a bit condescending to my request and I left me with no information on the condition of my knee or self care instructions or preventative measures. That was the reason for my visit. My insurance is limited and very costly for me to seek expensive procedures at this time. He left abruptly wishing me a good day and I sat there in the room wondering why I paid 120.00 out of pocket. He did suggest I get an a-valuation with a therapist. But did not provide a note for them. I later called his office to have a note faxed so I can continue to figure all this out on my own and STILL no response from his office or PT. My health issues are of great concern to me and I do realize I am not the only patient he has. However, I DO expect concern, compassion and guidence for my issue during the time that “I” am paying for!! He never even really checked my knee with the exception of moving my foot around a bit.

The results of my surgery are incredible! I can’t remember feeling this pain-free. Dr. Lucey took the time to make sure I understood what was going on and he helped me to know how I should handle my recovery at home. He even texted me twice to check in on my first two days home.
