While the surgery appears successful, I was not impressed by his bedside or office manner. He is not particularly informative about details or interested in conversing with the patient. He makes you feel that he really is not interested in your questions or concerns.
I have been to his office several times and inevitably there is a long wait beyond the appointment time showing little respect for a patient’s time.

Dr Gollance is a true professional eye doctor! He takes time to examine carefully and thoroughly, refers to a specialist if needed and follows up to make sure the problem is corrected.

Dr. Stephen Gollance, M.D. attended Union College, graduating with honors in Biology and Chemistry and was inducted into the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society for outstanding research as an undergraduate. He received his medical degree from the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University.
Dr. Gollance was residency trained in ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery at The Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, New Jersey Medical School (UMDNJ). As a resident, Dr. Gollance received the Irving Shulman, M.D. Memorial Award for “exemplary compassion and medical expertise” and the Lyons Eye Research Foundation of New Jersey Resident Research Award in recognition of outstanding research by an ophthalmology resident.
Dr. Gollance completed a fellowship in Ocular Pathology with W. Richard Green at the Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Gollance has four publications in Ophthalmology (The journal of the American Academy of Ophthalmology) in the fields of glaucoma and ocular pathology and has presented numerous times at internationally recognized ophthalmology meetings.
Dr. Gollance is Board Certified (Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
