Provider has not contacted me since surgery to see how I was feeling or discuss Xray results with me. I had to suggest going to Psychical Therapy at my last appt even though I have no clue of how my foot is really healing. After being in this boot for 4 additional weeks since removal of stiches, i was really looking forward to talking to my Doctor or even a PA to address my concerns and was very disappointed to find out that not only had I been scheduled for different location but to see a HAND specialist. This is really unacceptable,

He did not read my chart prior to entering the room. Thought I was in for original visit. Tried to push meds on me when I declined. Did not listen to my concerns with my ankle that’s been injured since October. I’ve already started in PT and already had a splint. When I explained this he then mentioned pain meds. I declined and he mentioned cortisone shot. I declined and said this visit was strictly a follow up and the need for more pt requested. He seemed to want me to take meds more than listen to my concerns. This was a waste of a visit.

I was at the point where my ankle was so bad I couldn’t walk without a boot. Dr. Arndt explained the surgery and the long recovery in detail. The surgery was successful and on my way to being able to walk normally again. Excellent doctor!

Does not review X-rays with patients and does not spend enough time with you, very quick to dismiss concerns, in and out in less than 10 minutes during consult and after surgery. No concern for long term prognosis, seems only to pay attention to a quick fix. Needs to listen to patients and review X-rays with them so they understand the course of treatment and recovery.

I am a patient with a problem in my right foot from about 2 1/2 years, I see a lot of Dr. on Southeast orthopedic group, but I never have or think today is my worse Day, with him Sorry but I am so frustrated with everything that he did about my condition, I am a patient that looking for make my health improve I really don’t understand why he don’t take a time to read my record before see me today , he don’t have any idea that I have allergies on my record and the firs medication that he prescribed today was a prednisone the assistant she make attention in that and tell him and he change for something that I can’t take to he never ask if I take Ibuprofen before, I ask my self the group want to receive payment from insurance and They don’t care about patient, My last MRI was 3 weeks ago and he don’t know and don’t remember because he Never see my Record before see me Today Thanks

I felt rushed. Needs better communication technique. As soon as he entered the exam room, I was given a diagnosis of some arthritis with a recommendation for a joint replacement. That seems like a pretty radical first treatment option. That was just by him looking at the x-rays, and not examining me personally or discussing my symptoms. I was not even shown the x-rays, which would have been a very good way of explaining the diagnosis. That on top of the fact that I felt very rushed by Dr. Arndt. At my follow-up appointment, I'll decide if I want to continue seeing him.

I came to you to have a small metal splinter removed from the bottom of my foot; but Dr Arndt didn’t want to remove it. He said he didn’t think there was anything in the foot and that I could come back LATER for an MRI!! It’s just a splinter; and I knew it was in my foot. I insisted that he remove it; which he did with very good sterile technique. I still don’t know WHY he didn’t want to remove it; and why he would want me to have to come back later for it. I didn’t want to let it remain in my foot to fester.

Had a very good first time appointment, the entire staff was empathetic and helpful to my physical condition. Took me for x-rays even before my scheduled appointment, helped me to an exam room where DrArndt came in just a couple minutes later. He explained what he saw on the x-rays, ordered a CT scan and o smaller boot and said he’d see me in 2 weeks. My longest wait was to get the smaller boot but the tech fitted me. I asked if my orders said no weight or could I put weight on my foot. She checked the chart, couldn’t find anything about putting weight on so she went and asked the Dr and came back saying it was weight bearing. Took just a few minutes to schedule my next appointment. I was very pleased with my experience.

This office is so efficient! They had x-rays done and within a few minutes I was taken to office with Dr. Arndt. He explained what was going on with my feet and gave me some options. I even got fitted for a brace right in the office and they checked my insurance for the brace. Whew! Pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable. Saw him as a new patient after 4 months with JOI for the same problem. Dr. Arndt identified the challenge, set surgery date and all good now. The appts were easy enough to get but felt rushed each time. Lesson is advocate for yourself and ask all the questions you need to when with the doc and they’ll be happy to oblige. Would totally recommend…
