I've seen so many specialists over the last couple of years because of ongoing health issues, and without a doubt, Dr. Gallitano is the best physician I've had. I am so grateful that she happened to be the doctor on call when I was hospitalized, and even more grateful that she has continued to be my dermatologist ever since.
She is incredibly knowledgeable, takes the time to answer every single one of my questions thoroughly, and makes sure I fully understand all of my options before making any decisions. I never feel rushed, and I always leave my appointments feeling informed and confident in my treatment plan.
It's rare to find a doctor who combines such deep expertise with genuine compassion and patience. She truly listens, values my concerns, and partners with me in my care. I trust her completely and feel incredibly fortunate to be under her care. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Dr. Stephanie Gallitano joined the faculty of the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University and the staff of New York- Presbyterian in 2017. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology and the Director of Milstein and Allen Hospital Inpatient Consultation. She received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and her medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine. She completed her medical internship at New York University Hospital and completed her Dermatology residency at SUNY-Downstate where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Gallitano is active with the Women's Dermatologic Society, the Society of Dermatology Hospitalists, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She has authored numerous articles in medical dermatology and has lectured at local and national conferences. She has a strong interest in medical dermatology including inpatient dermatology, autoimmune disorders, infectious disease, and women's dermatology.
