Dr. Franciosa is a Medtronic Endovenous Faculty Trainer. He regularly provides educational opportunities for medical professionals both regionally and nationally. He was invited to educate other Interventional Radiologists at the 2018 SIR ACTiVE Conference on the topic of "Incorporating VenaSeal Into Your Practice". He presented at the 2019 SIR ACTiVE Conference on the topic of "Treatment Strategies with VenaSeal Closure System: A Case Based Approach." Dr. Franciosa was also an invited speaker at the 2019 Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Fall Conference in Las Vegas, NV on the topic of "Management of CVI: Optimizing Outcomes Through Referral to Diagnosis to Treatment".
Dr. Franciosa earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). Dr. Franciosa completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency training at The Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA and his fellowship training in Interventional Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. He earned board certification in 2005 and was awarded a Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology in 2013. Dr. Franciosa has extensive interest in the area of both health care economics and quality issues in the delivery of medical services. In pursuit of these interests, Dr. Franciosa engaged in a dual degree program at PCOM attending medical school during the day and graduate business school in the evenings. He was awarded a Masters Degree in Business Administration in 1998.
Prior to relocating to northern Nevada, Dr. Franciosa served as Clinical Director managing two locations for Hamilton Vein Center in Austin, TX. Previously, he was Division Head of Interventional Radiology at Cooper University Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Camden, NJ. At Cooper University Hospital, Dr. Franciosa treated trauma, oncology, medical and vascular patients utilizing a broad spectrum of vascular and non-vascular interventional techniques.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Franciosa felt a great need to serve his country in the armed services. He served as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force Reserves and is a retired Major.

What an absolute PRO! Had a relatively large phlebectomy with ablation and the procedure was about an hour start to finish. Very minimal pain and the office staff are wonderfull . If you need any vein care done don’t hesitate like I did for years and call them today! 100/10 rating.
