He is also a member of American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association, and American Society of Podiatric Surgeons.
His clinical expertise are Total Ankle Replacement, Foot and Ankle Surgery, Lower Extremity Trauma, Arthroscopy, and Charcot Foot.
Dr. Monaco has been published in numerous journals and textbooks on various conditions affecting the foot and ankle. He received advanced training in Kurgan, Russia, at the Ilizarov Center, on circular ring external fixation. Dr. Monaco enjoys outdoor activities, hockey and traveling.

If I could give more stars I would. Dr. Monaco is a personable, thoughtful physician who listened carefully and respectfully to my questions and concerns. He treated me more as a partner than the typical condescending doctor/patient interaction. It goes without saying he is a highly skilled surgeon. I highly recommend him to any one needing an orthopedist.

Dr. Monaco has been wonderful throughout my entire foot surgery journey. From the initial appointments through surgery and recovery, he was always kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer my questions and make sure I understood what to expect. Recovery from foot surgery is definitely a process, but I always felt like I was in good hands. I’m very grateful for his care and for how far I’ve come since surgery. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Monaco to anyone needing foot or ankle care!

Very caring and very helpful in recommendations
I waited in the exam room for Dr. Monaco for 50 minutes. While there did not appear to be any emergences, this appears indicative of poor office management or a lack of appreciation for the patient's time.
