Dr. Son Ha Yu, M.D., is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon with nearly 20 years of experience in vein and vascular treatment. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Yu completed his vascular surgery fellowship at Scripps Clinic/ University of California San Diego before relocating to the Coachella Valley in 2007. He finished his General Surgery Resident Training at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
As the original founder of Empire Vein & Vascular Specialists, Dr. Yu has been instrumental in establishing the Coachella Valley as a premier destination for advanced vein and vascular care. In addition to his work at Empire Vein & Vascular Specialists, he is on staff at Eisenhower Medical Center, Desert Regional Medical Center, and JFK Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Yu is dedicated to exceeding the highest standards of excellence in vascular surgery. By demanding precision and top-quality care from himself and his team, he has helped shape Empire Vein & Vascular Specialists into the region’s leading vein and vascular treatment center.
He lives in Palm Desert with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
