Dr.Chao saved my life. I had a hirendous fall and subsequently broke my neck, I wasn't sure if I would ever move again. Dr.Chao performed my surgery,made sure I got the best follow up care possible, and now I have full movement of my arms and legs. I don't think anyone else would have don't what he did or cared so much,to this day he is my hero.

I finally have hope !!! Been suffering for years with back problems that put me down and out for days on end I left my consultation literally in tears after he showed me I’m detail everything going on with my back and spine and what he plans to do to help me he is the most thorough kind hearted very knowledgeable dr I have ever had in my life. After years of feeling like a guiney pig with false solutions and improper diagnosis this dr is on his game he even talked about other surgeries to other parts of my body and is connecting my degeneration with my body to my body having abnormal inflamation threw out that needs to be looked into . I’ve had many drs, specialists and surgons in my life and he is by far a god send

I waited quit a bit to see the Dr. He did not spend much time with me. He was quick to review my xrays and wanted further imaging because of the findings. He didn't feel I was a candidate for surgery because of the extensive injury I sustained and my age. I am to young and I have buldging disc's and slip disc's with exposed and pinched nerves from my neck all the way to my lower back. He referred to it as 3 levels. He then said I would be following up with one of his PAs because he is to busy with surgeries.

Best doctor I think I have ever seen. He took immediate interest in my case and brought a chair over to his computer and sat me down next to him so we could review my X-ray as he explained his diagnosis to me and even drew me diagrams and he was spot on with my symptoms.

Dr. Chao has helped me a lot with my condition. He is very knowledgeable and after discussing all the pros and cons for my surgery, was very patient in waiting for my decision. I didn’t see him. I saw one of his nurses. She was apologetic about not knowing who I was or that I was even there, was almost taken to get x-rays for another patient and then rushed out of the office. I apparently was checked out before I was even seen and they didn’t know I was still there. When speaking to the NP she spoke to me like I was stupid, made some very judgmental comments about my care and recommendations from a Neurologist and Neuro-Surgeon and because I couldn’t remember the exact name of the surgery I was recommended. Rude. Very rude I won’t be coming back. Also told me to go check out and walked into a half dark room with no one left to check me out. Did not get the note I was supposed to get.

I really can’t rate Dr Chao as I never see him when I go there…

I gave this reason is because I never met with Dr. Chao. I believe her name was Dr. Tran after waiting an hour. Then she basically told me I was having a hip replacement. I told her no and she said of course it's my decision. I really would prefer Dr. Chao.

Dr chao was patient and kind. We discussed my problems and he really listened to my concerns. I now have a treatment plan. He is an excellent surgeon.

Dr Chao is very nice but I have only seen him once during almost a year of appointment. I have seen the PA’s in his place the rest of the time. I understood that he is a very busy doctor but I would think that he would want to connect to his patients more than 1 time in a year. Also the wait time is very long I’m on time to my appointments usually 10 min early. My time is just as important than anyone else. I waited 1 hour to be seen and the PA at the time was very nice but only spent 10-15 minutes with me.

Dr Chao gets 5 stars but I gave 4 because I never saw him post surgery only his PA. I didn't see him until my 3rd office visit and I had to ask for him. There is comfort in sseing your surgeon after a major operation, His work and bedside manner top notch ! He is just too bisy.

Dr. Chao showed genuine compassion for my discomfort, was very knowledgeable with regards to my areas of injury, showed & explained the areas of concern & ordered the appropriate tests, he engaged me in discussing all areas of concern & was very polite & professional.

He doesn’t tell you what to do he discusses with you the options and let you decide which way you would like to go. Most doctors push you into one way. He’s very polite very nice to talk with.
