Dr. Vakilian is just a good human being! He cares and has a wonderful way of both informing the patient of what is ahead AND providing every reassurance available! To feel reassured with a radiation oncologist is HUGE.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Vakilian. I could no longer see my previous rad onc for follow ups due to a change in my insurance. I very much enjoyed meeting Dr. Vakilian today. He was very personable and asked a lot of questions about my previous condition so as to understand why I was there. He had already reviewed my imaging and records, but he wanted to know more about how my condition had originally presented and how my treatment had affected it as well as what I had experienced through the process and what I was experiencing now. I appreciated his thoroughness. He also helped me to understand clearly how I should proceed moving forward in terms of future follow up visits with him and with my other doctor. I wish all doctors were as easy to talk to as he was today.
