She remained at George Washington University to complete her Internal Medicine residency and a residency fellowship in Health Policy at the George Washington University Hospital and School of Health Sciences. She further specialized her training by completing a fellowship in Rheumatology at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, California.
