Dr. Shannon Rush is board-certified in Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery joining Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialists after 20 years of experience in the Bay Area. Dr. Rush has a special interest in Foot and Ankle Reconstruction, foot and ankle trauma, fracture care, sports injuries, cartilage repair techniques, arthroscopy, and ankle Joint replacement. Dr. Rush has been involved in ongoing clinical research and has contributed to several Foot and Ankle Surgical textbooks and has published 32 peer reviewed research articles. In 2009, Dr. Rush received international recognition for the first publication of stem cell bone grafting for lower extremity limb salvage.
Dr Rush grew up playing sports which continued in college. Being an athlete and maintaining a fitness-oriented lifestyle Dr Rush understands and remains focused on sports injures and how to better treat his patients as new techniques and technologies emerge.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Shannon Rush here at the Orthopedic Center. He is incredibly caring, and his entire staff reflects the same level of compassion and professionalism. Dr. Rush is very attentive and truly makes you feel at home. I’m grateful to be receiving care here because he genuinely engages with his patients as people, not just cases. I truly feel seen, supported, and well taken care of.
After 3 different surgeons, two failed surgeries and countless rounds of physical therapy, Dr Rush addressed the problem and I have made more progress in 3 months than I had in 3.5 years

Dr. Rush just went over my preop and explained everything very good. He’s a real good doctor I think and will do real good on my surgery and I highly recommend him.
Dr Rush performed a very complicated surgery on all toes on my right foot. He was very caring and always listened to my concerns. The outcome is very successful. His follow up and advice after the surgery were always very helpful.
