Dr. Shalini Chedi, O.D., grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, but has since fallen in love with the state of Oregon after completing many years of education in the area. Dr. Chedi received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. While in optometry school, she also earned a Masters of Education with an emphasis in Visual Function in Learning and completed a thesis evaluating the use of traditional office-based vision therapy in a non-traditional setting. Following graduation, Dr. Chedi completed a residency at the Salem Community Based Outpatient Clinic of the Portland VA Healthcare System where she gained further experience in primary eye care, ocular disease, and low vision services.

Dr. Shalini Chedi was absolutely amazing. Even though our time was very short because thankfully my eyes have been stable! She was attentive, easy to talk to, and a great spirit. She takes her job seriously and is honestly, refreshing. Thank you again for your time and your care.

She believes in providing comprehensive eye exams to patients of all ages and backgrounds. She has participated in numerous community outreach events and traveled to Peru alongside other optometry students and doctors to provide eye care to underserved populations. Aside from optometry, Dr. Chedi enjoys running, yoga, and trying new recipes in her free time.
