Shahreen Chowdhury, MD

Dr. Shahreen Chowdhury, M.D., received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Baylor University in Waco, Texas; her Master of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas; her Doctor of Medicine at Ross University in Portsmouth, Dominica; and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in 2017, and her board certification is current.

Dr. Chowdhury was raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where both of her parents are professors at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She and her husband are the proud parents of one son. The best thing about working at SAMA, according to Dr. Chowdhury, is that she has access to an unlimited supply of Butterfinger candy bars!
