Residency in Internal Medicine was completed in 2002 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He received the annual “Outstanding Competence, Compassion and Curiosity” award in 2002. Dr Yakoob is wonderful. Takes time to explain test results and treatment plan. He literally saved my life because he took to to accurately diagnose what other doctors missed.

Dr. is always prepared,, he gives you a paper copy and compares present w/past. I never have to ask questions because he is sooo thorough. His nurse is awesome too.

We had a very good visit we chatted a little bit about my issues and found him very pleasant and his old self he's a very good doctor and I love him so much and he has a wonderful nurse also I'm very pleased with the service I got there and I know it'll always be good he's an excellent doctor and she's an excellent nurse very good group I really appreciate them

Dr. Yakoob continued his education with a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
He entered private practice in New Castle, Pennsylvania where he remained for three years before moving to Arizona and joining Sunrise. He is board certified in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine.
He is married with three children. In his spare time, Dr. Yakoob enjoys running, hiking and reading.
