A bit brisk and busy for a professional “ bedside” manner. I know he’s an excellent surgeon because he replaced both my hip over 20+ years ago and they are both in excellent condition. But aging has taken a toll on my balance and strength.

Good doc but he is so rushed during his appointments that his care is incomplete.

Great with questions, to get an understanding of how he can best help him 🙂

I am three months into a total knee replacement.
I would highly recommend Dr Toomey and his team. He uses the MACO guided robotic assistance during surgery making everything precise. He wants you to succeed and lets you know how to.
I still have work to do and will make him proud at my next visit.
Thank you Sean

He performed the first robotic-assisted orthopedic knee replacement in Seattle in 2010 and has performed several hundreds since that time. Robotic-arm assisted surgery is the most precise joint replacement technology available today, and he is one of the most experienced robotic-arm assisted orthopedic surgeons in the greater Seattle and Puget Sound region, having performed over 500 partial knee, total knee and total hip replacements using this advanced technology. Dr. Toomey is committed to using the best techniques available for patients today while actively researching improved surgical options for patients in the future.
Dr. Toomey became interested in orthopedic surgery as he grew up watching his father, Dr. Hugh (Pete) Toomey, also a joint replacement specialist, interact with patients.
