Dr. Garringer completed his undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1999 from Butler University with:
Magna Cum Laude Honors

Post graduation he participated in a research internship with Dr. James Marr, Director of Indiana University Department of Nephrology. He entered the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1999 and received the Eli Lilly Rural Health Fellowship. He also completed an Intercambio Humanitarian Mission to Tabi, Mexico. In 2003, he entered residency at Indiana University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Attended the Texas Scottish Rite Orthotics and Prosthetics Course
Instructed at the Hand Care 2006: Clinical Approaches to Rehabilitation

Dr. Garringer is great. He listens to you and explains everything to you and makes sure all your questions and concerns are addressed. Very good about letting you have a say so in your care without pressuring you.

He's the only orthopedic surgeon I've seen. He's very personable and attentive to your needs. I also loved all his children's art work he has hanging in the patient room.
