Dr. Sean Butler, Director of Regenerative Medicine, is a board certified Physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Sports Medicine who specializes in interventional spinal procedures, pain management, sports medicine and electrodiagnosis (EMG). He uses the latest advances in spine care to safely and effectively perform interventional procedures, including epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, medical branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, lumbar sympathetic block, spinal cord stimulation trials, and peripheral nerve blocks. Dr. Butler also uses ultrasound technology to perform guided joint (hip, shoulder, knee, etc.), tendon sheath, carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel injections.
In addition to his affiliation with Doylestown Hospital, Dr. Butler is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, International Spine Intervention Society, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Society, American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnositic Medicine, American Osteopathic Association and American Osteopathic Association of Sports Medicine. In addition, Dr. Butler is a past President and current Board Member for the Bucks County Medical Society.
Dr. Butler has multiple professional publications including articles for peer-reviewed journals and was an editor for Atlas of Image-guided Spinal Procedures by Michael B. Furman, M.D. He is also a reviewer for the PM&R Journal.
He received his medical degree in 2007 from the New York School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship in 2008 at Nassau University Medical Center and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at JFK/Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in 2011. In 2012, Dr. Butler finished his fellowship in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at the Orthopedic and Spine Specialists in York, PA.
Dr. Sean Butler became interested in spine care during his residency after spending time shadowing an interventional pain specialists. Dr. Butler enjoyed seeing patients experience fast relief of their symptoms and their ability to return to daily activities following the procedures.
He began practicing with Bucks County Orthopedic Specialists in 2012 and is currently located at the Health & Wellness Center of Warrington. During high school and college Dr. Butler was in a rock band which was considered by Atlantic Records. He still enjoys playing the guitar, singing, writing and recording music in his spare time.

Very pleasant visit. Dr. Butler explained everything about my procedure clearly and concisely, and scheduling was very efficient.
Knowledgeable and offered good suggestions for pain relief.
I liked him I don’t like like what he’s gonna have to do to me. He’s gonna give me an epidural in my neck. But I have to do what I have to do to feel better.
