Dr. Adrean, was born in Los Angeles and raised in the city of Orange in Orange County.He received his degree in Chemistry from The University of California at San Diego where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then earned his MD degree from Loma Linda University and completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of California, Davis. He completed his Vitreoretinal fellowship at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit.
Dr. Adrean is a specialist in the treatment of age related macular degeneration – the leading cause of blindness in the United States. He also specializes in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy. His surgical interests lie in the repair of complex retinal detachments, repair of macular holes, epiretinal membranes and the surgical management of diabetic retinopathy.
He has published multiple articles in peer reviewed journals such as the journal of Ophthalmology and The American Journal of Ophthalmology. He has also written multiple book chapters and is an Editor for multiple journals in the field of ophthalmology. He frequently gives talks and presentations at the national meeting for retina specialists. He is the principle investigator for multiple trials on new and emerging therapies for macular degeneration and brings the latest surgical and medical care to his patients.
Dr. Adrean is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr Adrean is also passionate about his family and has a wonderful wife and two kids. He is a fourth degree black belt and runs a karate studio.

Dr. Adrean, was wonderful. He put my concerns at ease, explaining the testes that were needed and the results. Afterwards, he went over the treatment plan and the necessary procedures.

I always appreciate how Dr. Adrean start every visit with a hand shake. This immediately sets a warm welcoming tone. He is thorough and explains everything clearly.
I like the doctor. I subtracted a star because of the long wait. My appointment was at 8AM, I arrived 10 minutes early. I saw the doctor at 9:00AM.
Dr.Adren Is very kind and gentle, I been seeing him for years.
Dr Adrean is the best. He always answer all my questions I'm always comfortable with the decisions we make. The rest of the team is exceptional. They keep everything moving through the system like a well oiled machine. I'm always amazed at how well they all keep track of where you are in the process of your appt.
