Scott Wein, M.D.

Dr. Wein is an awesome Orthopaedic doctor. I have tendinitis in my wrist and he has given me two shots to alleviate the pain.

He patiently showed and explained my X-Rays to me. When I asked questions, he answered them all to me in a way that I understood. He also recommended me with the best way forward to help improve my healing.

Professional, friendly, very capable. A pleasurable experience.

NOT the most gentle. rotated my thumb and heard all the bones rubbing. Created pain in an area that was not painful. Untimely received injection to the affected area which is better however, the thumb is now very inflammed.

Over the years, Dr. Wein has done several trigger finger releases and now he is treating me for other hand and arm conditions. I have found that he knows what he is doing and I can count on him for the best care. He makes good decisions about the best course of treatment, usually the most conservative. But as in the case of my trigger fingers, which had repeatedly not responded to cortisone injections for long periods of time, he recommended just going straight to surgery. I keep going back to him because I know I can trust his judgment and treatment.

He gave me an injection in my hand for my tendon problem. The only thing I would request is that you explain why you are hurting me by squeezing my hurt hand. It only takes a minute to explain you’re trying to see if I have a trigger finger. That was really painful. As a massage therapist people want to know why you are causing them pain for no apparent reason I know it was to determine what therapy I needed. Just take a little extra time.

Dr Wein was very thorough in evaluating my concern. He then explained 2 options for treatment. 1. A minimally invasive treatment that could be done during the visit 2. A surgical option that could be performed if option 1 was not successful. I chose #1 and will wait to see long term results. The procedure was professionally performed in less than15 minutes without pain or discomfort.

I really appreciate Dr. Wein’s kind and honest approach. He repaired my left hand in 2015 and my procedure and recovery went well. They worked me in today so that he could check out my thumb, I am feeling much better. Thank you, Dr. Wein!

I waited an hour and a half to see this doctor. My appointment was at 4:00 and I saw him at 5:30. When he finally came into the room, he seemed like he was rushing the appointment and couldn’t wait to get out of the room.

Professional, clear communication. Compassionate when while telling me his recommendation is surgery. Was able to schedule me the next day.

In my asking potential causes of my elbow pain, Dr. Wein was a bit difficult to communicate with. I mentioned tennis elbow and it was very difficult to get to another subject.

Dr. Wein, Kelly (his PA) amd Heather (his LPN) are all excellent. Always helpful in trying to present me with all options for treatment of my hand problem. Dr Wayne performed surgery on a family member of mountain view years ago and everything went perfect and smooth. Quick recovery, great follow-up.

Dr. Wien has done two very successful wrist surgeries on me with a third , elbow, scheduled for two days from now. He is more than competent, efficient, nice, a really good listener, knows everything he is supposed to know and performs well in surgery.

I ve seen Dr. Wein for 5+ years. He explains diagnosis in detail . Dr Wein performed surgery for me 5 years ago on my arthritic thumb and surgery went well. The thing is, however, it has been pain free after healing and 100% functional. And he has a cute sense of humor!

Dr. Wein was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He offered conservative treatments but also gave more aggressive options to help the patient decide on a course of treatment.

Then they set me up with a surgeon instead of a regular orthopedist which I don’t need for arthritis . He kept telling me he was a surgeon and could not help me . Lack of compassion… Very inconvenient for him to spend a maximum of 5-6 minutes of his time with me, 2 of which were probably in the hallway… no mention of preventative measures to delay disease progression… Only discussed one of several correction measures of end-stage disease when that occurs…Dispensed sample of Voltaren cream which has two black box warning’s which would be contra indicated given my health history… Also indicated Voltaren cream and oral NSAID therapy is acceptable when it has not been evaluated and is contra indicated… One could learn more on WebMd Instead of going to a crowded waiting room with one individual who iwas not even wearing a mask

The first 5-10 minutes of appointment was good but felt rushed soon after. He stood up and was heading for the door but I had a few other questions to ask. I would have liked an opportunity to ask questions and address concerns in a bit more depth. I noticed the patient in other cubicle next to me was in there for a good long time around the same time I was there but my visit felt truncated.
