Dr. Scott Tully is one of the original founders of the robotic program at Urology Centers of Alabama and the first to perform a robotic radical prostatectomy in Alabama in 2002. He has performed over 3,000 robotic radical prostatectomies and routinely does eight to ten procedures per week. He has been a pioneer in the development and refinement of the procedure and has instructed numerous surgeons in the technique. Currently, the Urology Centers of Alabama is one of the busiest robotic radical prostatectomy programs in the world, leading the way in robotic surgery.

Dr. Tully presented the Urology Centers of Alabama “Male Burch Stitch”, a novel approach to pelvic floor reconstruction and urethral support following Robotic-Assisted Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy” Southeastern Section of Urology 2012
Dr. Tully in April 2010 was invited to be on the faculty at the World Robotic Symposium in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Tully is the past Secretary-Treasurer and President of the Birmingham Urology Club, and he is past Secretary-Treasurer and President of the Alabama Urology Society.
Dr. Tully is an active member of the American Urologic Association and Medical Association of the State of Alabama. He has served on the Board of the Southeastern Urological Society for two years. He has been on the Board of the Jefferson County Medical Society and served a three-year term as the Treasurer of the Jefferson County Medical Society.
