Scott Trenhaile, M.D.

Arrived very early for appointment and got in within two minutes. Dr Trenthaile’s nurse did an overview and the Doctor came in immediately. He went through a very understandable explanation of my shoulder issue. He was very specific that there was not a need to do something short term, but there is a degenerative issue we have to keep an eye on. Was very clear about things and options going forward. Also was clear that he is available to reach out to as things evolve.

My impression of Dr Trenhaile was excellent, he was understanding and explained the results of MRI in a way I could undestand.

My appointment was at 2:30. Waited for 30 minutes and still had three people in the waiting room ahead of me. Probably not his fault but Ortho management scheduling too many patients. I had the same issue with another provider at Ortho. I was told the Dr’s have three patients every 15 minutes. That’s ridiculous.

Called 4 days prior to appointment with potential issue with bicep tendon after surgery and didn’t see Dr after being told prior to surgery that I would see him and we would go over the procedure and pictures of the procedure. None of that happened which was disappointing.

Saw an assistant and recieved a Cortisone shot in my shoulder that has been hurting all day...like bad! My shoulder feels worse! I'm hoping it will go away soon, it's been 16 hours!

Gives statements to lawyers in general basis instead of looking into patients history to provide detailed info, which hurts patients in court for workman's comp. Ex patient had incident at work 5 yrs ago so the injury could be related to something else. If Dr checked history he'd know complaints were ongoing and worsened over time vs injuries could be related to something else. Patients put their faith in their dr hoping that they'll do things properly to insure the best outcome with healing and compensation. When time isn't taken to research even a little bit it ruins chances of patients being compensated properly. I know doctors are busy but every patient deserves to be treated like more than a number.

Kind, sympathetic and most important listens intently on what the patient says about their OVERALL health conditions if any others are present and truly understands real pain. I love my surgeon and his nurse Kerry for these qualities and more.

Dr. Trenhaile takes the time to understand what the medical issues are and decide what the appropriate prognosis is by talking to the patient in their language, using medical terms only when appropriate.
