Dr. Tanaka is the epitome of how a doctor should be. He is professional, kind and caring and takes the time to truly listen to me and understand my concerns. The only downfall is the wait times to see the MD are sometimes very long due to the fact that he is a phenomenal doctor and sees as many patients as he possibly can. I like the doctor. But my information for surgery was not submitted for approval like Doc. Tanaka told me at my appointment. I was told I would be notified as to my surgery date (he did say April surgery) by the end of the week of my appointment. When will my information be sent and approved? No one in the office can give me any pertinent information.

I believe Dr. Tanaka is an excellent surgeon. But his office and the people who coordinate surgery for him are outright nasty when I was confused about things. What would make patients less confused is giving instructions on a piece of paper that can be taken home, like most other doctors do. I get home and can’t remember everything I am supposed to do or not do. This must be changed.

Left me waiting in the examination room for over 30 minutes without any contact. When I went to the nurses station to find out what the holdup was, I was told it could be another 30 minutes at least. That would take an hour past my appt. time. Not acceptable so I left.

After I had surgery on my elbow in May there were some complications with my oxygen levels and Dr. Tanaka came back to the surgery center and held my hand and stayed by my side until I was able to go home. I was recommended by Dr Bawa. This was my second attempt to see Dr. Tanaka and I take responsibility for the first one. I had a 10:10 AM appointment today and waited one hour before I was called and the waited another half hour and was advised that it might be another 10-15 minutes or longer until I could see the Dr. I ended my appointment at that moment due to another obligation and not only do I still have a injury but I basically wasted a whole morning because his office was overbooked.

I am very satisfied with the care I’m getting from Doctor Tanaka. I’ve been suffering from shoulder pain for quite some time now, I was advised to get a shot to help me with the pain. I am so scared with injections but Doctor really did a good job. I was surprised because I didn’t feel anything at all. He keep keep me calm and at ease. :) and all the assistant are friendly and helpful. Specially Toni.

Dr.Tanaka is My Doctor. He is the one in charge of My case. He has been My Doctor, for about 2 years. He seems to be quite knowledgeable in His Field, for His age. He listens well to what You say and complain about, then goes through His total check -up, to determine Your ailments, and what seems to be the problem. He offered some info,on My pain, and said what needed to be done, and will see about Me getting some Therapy. He ruled out surgery, since I've had 2 already on My Ulnar nerve.

Dr Tanaka was very thorough during my visit and explained all of the options. He explained in detail everything. He was not rushed either.

Everyone is well meaning and kind at the office. I was impressed by Dr Tanaka. I seems to me that there is a dedication to organization in the office, but no real followup or carry through. Just one item is the questionaires I was asked to fill out when I went in for my first visit; it was redundant and not clear with some of the questions and/or answers. thank you for the opportunity to comment. Dr. Tanaka is friendly, professional and most importantly, skilled. He was recommended to me by my GP for an injury and he knew exactly what to do, how long the recovery period would be, and provided all the follow-up care I could have needed. I will absolutely see Dr. Tanaka again (but hopefully I won't have to!)

Facilities are superior. They have an on site X-ray tech. This saved the need to travel to a separate imaging center.
