Dr. Scott Swayze has been providing orthopaedic care to patients of Pinnacle Orthopaedics since he joined the group in 1992. He offers orthopaedic treatment to patients in the Hiram, Marietta, and Woodstock locations. Dr. Swayze is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who treats a wide variety of orthopaedic problems. He specializes in general orthopaedics, total joint replacement and sports medicine.
Dr. Swayze received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and his Medical Degree from the University of Mississippi. His General Surgery Internship and his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency were both completed at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Swayze is a member of the WellStar Board of Trustees and is a member of several local, state and national orthopaedic associations. He has also been the team physician for many local schools and sporting events.
Dr. Swayze currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Carol, and their dogs, Jackson and Rosie. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, church, and activities with his five children.

Oh my gosh! I was referred by his partner because no one knows why I'm having so much pain & subluxation 3 years after THR. He is very nice! Thorough, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and caring! We have a new plan. We shall see what happens next.

Awesome doctor and staff. Just recently had total left hip replacement with no complications and returned to all sports activities on estimated timeline provided.
Dr. Swayze is friendly, professional, and very competent. I am in my 3rd day post operative knee replacement and cannot believe how well it has gone and how good I feel. I had a good experience when my right knee was done 10 years ago by Dr. Dysart. This has gone even better. I recommend Dr. Swayze without reservation.
