Dr. Scott Swayze has been providing orthopaedic care to patients of Pinnacle Orthopaedics since he joined the group in 1992. He offers orthopaedic treatment to patients in the Hiram, Marietta, and Woodstock locations. Dr. Swayze is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who treats a wide variety of orthopaedic problems. He specializes in general orthopaedics, total joint replacement and sports medicine.
Dr. Swayze received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and his Medical Degree from the University of Mississippi. His General Surgery Internship and his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency were both completed at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Swayze is a member of the WellStar Board of Trustees and is a member of several local, state and national orthopaedic associations. He has also been the team physician for many local schools and sporting events.
Dr. Swayze currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Carol, and their dogs, Jackson and Rosie. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, church, and activities with his five children.

Dr. Swayze is an experienced, compassionate physician who gave me excellent care.
Dr. Swayze helped me understand what was going to happen with my hip replacement and complications. He called that evening to check on me. He made me feel safe and cared for.
Dr. Swayze is fantastic. Professional, friendly, empathetic and one of the best orthopedic surgeons around. He recently replaced my knee and everything went as expected. Organization, communication and planning, before, during and after the procedure were exactly as they should be. The PT’s that I have spoken to even claim that his patients recover faster than others. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!👨⚕️

Informative visit and treatment options with Dr Swayze regarding my knees. All my questions were answered. X-rays were done with exceptional care, thank you Phillip. All staff were considerate and professional.
I was so impressed with Dr. Swayze. After looking at my x-rays he explained thing about what my legs looked like inside. Some of it I was not aware of makes explains a lot, Mentally I felt so much better than when I arrived.
