Scott Siverhus, M.D.

Dr. Siverhus is kind and knowledgeable.

He performed both of my total knee replacements and did a great job. He was highly respected by all the hospital staff. Six years later, he’s determined an anomaly in my right knee cap and has created a plan to fix it at my family’s convenience. I drive more than an hour’s time for the privilege of Dr. Siverhus’s time.

He is an excellent surgeon!

He was very knowledgeable. He spent the time to show me my images and explain why my pain was coming from each area. Without hesitation, he answered every question that I brought up. After all of the issues with other doctors not wanting to take the time to explain what was going on or even look at an image to know what was going on. I appreciate him more than I can explain.

Dr. Siverhus was a welcome change to most doctors in large practices such as CORE. He was very knowledgeable, thorough in his explanation of x-rays and the problems related to the injury. He discussed the options for treating the injury and how to minimize any future injury. He was professional, pleasant and to the point.

He’s a very nice knowledgeable Dr. I wish he could have helped me with my problem knee. Did give recommendation so maybe I can still be fixed.

There was an angry person who was leaving the medical office and complaining about the terrible care he received, I knew he must have seen Dr. Severhus. I held the door open for him as he exited, I asked who his doctor was, it was Dr. Severhus. I received poor service from him in the past and felt he didn’t care. I have tried changing doctors but other knee surgeons aren’t accepting transfers.

I had been seeing another Dr there for my knees, he told me my options were cortisone shots every 3 months, or knee replacement, so he sent me to see Dr Siverhus today and he said everything the complete opposite of the other Dr, and only offered injections and PT, which none had helped in me in the past. He wouldn't even do arthroscopic surgery to see what was actually going on in my knees. I've told him exrays do not show how bad my knees really are, from past experience with exerays and arthroscopic surgery.

I got an appointment with Dr Siverhus within 3 days. I had injured an already fragile knee, going into a weekend. I really thought I was going to need surgery. I was surprised and pleased after his examination, he said, " It's really swollen and full of fluid. I can drain it and give you a steroid injection, and you will have a lot of relief." I said let's do it. He did the procedure right there. It was painless to me and I am so relieved. And I don't need surgery.

Scott, so far, has the best doctor I have had at Core (which is very frustrating, because within two months, I have seen four different doctors). He explained my x-Ray's and gave recommendations on whom I should see next. What is frustrating is what a doctor should do at a minimum, is pleasantly surprising.
