He was selected by the Chairman of the Department to serve as Chief Resident during his final year of residency.
Dr. Pomerantz entered private practice in Paramus, New Jersey in 1990, where he has been practicing for the past three decades. He has performed thousands of cataract surgeries and laser treatments for glaucoma. He is on the cutting edge of cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and macular degeneration diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Pomerantz was the first surgeon in Bergen County to perform cataract surgery using the new Catalys Femto laser and has extensive experience with the advanced technology multifocal and extended depth of focus intraocular lens implants.
Dr. Pomerantz is the founder of Metro Eye Care in Paramus, New Jersey, and is excited about Metro Eye Care’s new location in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
