He was dismissive to what I had originally asked about and everytime I talked it felt like he was undermining my intelligence. I was very upset until the lady at the front desk was nice enough to help me and she talked to the nurse for me. The nurse called me back and gave me a prescription for a wrist brace which was what I tried to bring up to him. But everything I was saying to him was pretty much being ignored. My experience almost makes me not want to go back to this office. Just because someone is a doctor doesn’t mean I’m any less of a person than him or anyone else for that matter.

Scott LaTulip, M.D. is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the non-operative and surgical management of all foot and ankle conditions. Dr. LaTulip attended the University of Michigan where he majored in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Global Health Design, developing and patenting a novel surgical instrument. He then attended and received his medical doctorate from the University of Michigan Medical School where he graduated at the top of his class and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society.
Following medical school, Dr. LaTulip completed his orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at University Hospital / Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. There he received training in general orthopedics, sports medicine, joint replacement, fracture management, and lower limb deformity. After residency, Dr. LaTulip spent an additional year of fellowship training with world-renowned faculty at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, sub-specializing in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery. During his fellowship, he gained extensive experience in the management of sports-related injuries, fracture care, other traumatic injuries, total ankle arthroplasty, and complex reconstructive procedures of the foot and ankle.
Dr. LaTulip is currently board eligible with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). His clinical interests are in the management of sports-related injuries of the foot and ankle, arthritic conditions including the use of total ankle replacements, and lower extremity trauma. Dr. LaTulip currently resides in Raleigh with his wife and their dog Leo. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, running, cycling, snowboarding, and traveling with his wife and dog.
