Charming as always. I feel l was not taken seriously when I expressed my concerns about the pain I experiencing. I don’t need any medication from him. Come back in 8 months for a xray does not mean anything. I really feel something is wrong with the knee. I am being forced to seek additional medical attention.

Dr. Hormel has performed 3 surgeries on me: 2014 meniscus tear repair and 2025 knee replacements (March and November). I can't say enough good things about my experience with him, the surgeries, my recoveries, and the whole OPAOrtho staff. I highly recommend him for anyone in need of knee and related surgeries.

Such a caring doctor! He reminded me he did his best with my surgery, and that my recovery is mostly "my side" of the equation--so I need to do my best, too! Dr. Scott E. Hormel, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in knee and shoulder surgery. Dr. Hormel earned his medical degree at University of Washington School of Medicine, and completed his residency at University of Washington Department of Orthopedics. He then finished his fellowship at Stedman-Hawkins Clinic and Sports Medicine Research Foundation, Vail, CO. His practice is focused on the surgical treatment of injuries and sports-related conditions of the knee and shoulder. His goal is to return athletes and recreational athletics back to full athletic participation using both surgical and rehabilitative methods.
Dr. Hormel is a native of Bellevue, Washington. He has practiced for over 15 years with Orthopedic Physician Associates. He and his wife Shari have 4 children. He enjoys skiing, golf, woodworking and architecture. Dr. Hormel stays very active and involved in baseball and fast-pitch softball, coaching and helping to prevent and repair athletic injuries.
