Two hours from check in to escape. Understand that you are modifying the process but I came equipped for the old way. Contacts first etc. tried to make my next appointment for a year later at check in but was shooed away and told it would be handled later. At the exact same desk and personnel! So I think the work flow and amount of time kept waiting needs to be addressed. Understanding that you have previously set expectations advising that you are short staffed and training new hires. It shows that you know there is a problem but it has not been solved in over a year. First tech was delightful and well versed.

He is so calm and gentle and that what my very anxious 11 year old needed.

Dr. Greder always makes me feel welcome and comfortable. He is patient and thorough; answers my questions and never makes me feel rushed.

It was a very difficult meeting. He clearly didn’t understand why I was there. I wanted guidance as to how I could have my eyes corrected as a result of a previous cataract surgery. He spent time lecturing me how I could already see wearing glasses When I set up the appointment I said I wanted to see an ophthalmologist and the person said I had to see an optometrist, thus, Dr Greder. He was rude and patronizing and talked down to me (old person). At the very end he said I should see an ophthalmologist who was with your organization. Dr Greder does not represent your organization well

Scott performed my annual vision exam. I had to reschedule my original appointment with Dr. Himebaugh- due to a new cancer therapy I recently started. I will schedule follow-up appointments with Dr. Himebaugh due to his experience in cataract surgery- but Dr. Greder did well filling in for this exam.

After waiting 40 minutes for the Dr. Greder to see me, I expected an apology for the wait at the least. Then the first question to ask me “what’s new with your eyes” didn’t sit well with me for two reasons. This is the first time he was ever seeing me and I had already answered that question to his nurse. Unfortunately he had to take additional time during my exam to read through all the notes because he clearly hadn’t in the 40 minutes I was waiting for him.

Probably the least satisfactory medical appointment I have ever had. I have a number of issues that I wanted discussed and explained but an OD is not equipped with the knowledge. He dismissed and/or failed to address anything and simply suggested that I give a minimally different new lens prescription a chance as if a change in lenses would help shooting pain, inability to see in dim light, clouding over of the retina.... Completely worthless and expensive.

I’m coming from another dr who would show me results from the tests talk to me and explain what they were seeing. I had less than a minute with Dr Greder who basically said we will schedule another appointment for re-test and check things again in four months. Although he was kind I just really miss my previous eye dr. Taking the time and educating me about my eyes.

I prefer someone who explains more of what their findings are to me.

Dr. Greder did a fantastic job of watching my eye condition, making a referral to a specialist when needed, and had a great follow up as well. Dr. Greder is always professional and I have always had a positive experience in all of my appointments.

My eyes were dilated for no more than 5 minutes before the doctor came in to look at my eyes. I could still read and the light didn’t bother me. Why dilate my eyes if you aren’t going to look at them once they are fully dilated?

I have been a patient of Midwest Eye for over 15 yrs. My annual appt has been increasingly painful in recent yrs & I can no longer remain a patient for my routine, non medical exams. The reason is wait time during my appt. My appt was at 3:10 this past week. I was physically moved between different places in the office ten times over the course of nearly 2 hours. I spent 5 min checking in, waited, spent about 8 min in contacts, then waited for over 30 min to be called back, saw a nurse and had my eyes dialated, etc, for about 6-7 min, then was moved back out to the waiting room for another 30 min, then moved back to an exam room and waited 20 min before seeing the dr for 5 min, then went to front desk, then waited to go to contacts. During 2 hrs, only 15-20% of my time was with a provider/staff member. Moving around that many times is inefficient. I would recommend doing some process improvement initiatives to optimize scheduling, staffing and most importantly, the patient experience.

I see Dr. Greder annually and he is always professional, responds to my questions and updates me regarding any changes to my eyesight. He is an excellent Doctor.

I was having problems with a pair of glasses that I purchased from another provider. Dr Greder double checked my eye prescription and advised that there was a problem with the glasses. The coating on the glasses had not been applied properly.
