Dr. Scott Greder, OD is a comprehensive optometrist who specializes in routine and problem-focused eye examinations, pediatric eye care, urgent eye care, and pre- and post-operative examinations.
A Nebraska native, Dr. Greder was raised in North Platte. He received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and his doctor of optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. While at Illinois College, Dr. Greder completed externships at the Veterans Administration Outpatient Center in Tallahassee, Florida and Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha. Dr. Greder joined Midwest Eye Care in 1999.
Dr. Greder is licensed for the practice of optometry by the state examining boards of Nebraska and Iowa. He is a member of both the Nebraska Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He was elected president of the Nebraska Optometric Association for the 2017-2019 term. Dr. Greder provides volunteer services for the annual Mission Cataract program, the Hope Medical Outreach Coalition, the Nebraska Optometric Association “See to Learn” program, and the “Opening Eyes” program at the Nebraska Special Olympics.

Excellent Doctor who cares deeply about his patients. Super glad he is my doctor!!!
I saw Dr Greder as the on-call doctor on a potential emergency basis one Sunday morning a few years ago, so I changed to his care from then on—he is thorough, professional, knowledgeable, and invested in my vision health.

Did not examine eye that I thought had a stye in it, also irritated Did not see wash hands or use sanitizer before examination
Very thorough and considerate.
Dr. Greer explained everything in detail, he was very patient with me. I’m not too fond of something in my eyes.
Dr. Greder put us at ease, he answered all of our questions and concerns about my daughter’s eye health.
He is very thorough and knowledgeable!!
