Dr. Scott Greder, OD is a comprehensive optometrist who specializes in routine and problem-focused eye examinations, pediatric eye care, urgent eye care, and pre- and post-operative examinations.
A Nebraska native, Dr. Greder was raised in North Platte. He received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and his doctor of optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. While at Illinois College, Dr. Greder completed externships at the Veterans Administration Outpatient Center in Tallahassee, Florida and Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha. Dr. Greder joined Midwest Eye Care in 1999.
Dr. Greder is licensed for the practice of optometry by the state examining boards of Nebraska and Iowa. He is a member of both the Nebraska Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He was elected president of the Nebraska Optometric Association for the 2017-2019 term. Dr. Greder provides volunteer services for the annual Mission Cataract program, the Hope Medical Outreach Coalition, the Nebraska Optometric Association “See to Learn” program, and the “Opening Eyes” program at the Nebraska Special Olympics.
I’ve been going there for years seeing the same doctor Greder is a very caring person and patient. A great place to come for eye care.
Doctor himself is very good and able to help communicate medical verbiage to terms easy to understand. However the nurses seemed overwhelmed or wanting to rush the job. As soon as I got my eyes dialed before that nurse walked out the door the next nurse ran into the room and I felt like the first nurse said the eyes aren’t ready but the 2nd nurse say I’ll just test quit before the doctor gets here.
My care was very good
It was okay and as you know, I'm a hard of hearing and I have a hearing aid which is five years old now. He scan my eyes and the light make me blind, I tried to listen to what he said and my eyes wasn't clear enough for me to read his lips. So, I'm not sure what he's saying to me and the last words I heard is to watch out mascular degeneration.
Dr. GREDER is an excellent eye doctor! Friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. The visit was efficient, and I felt well cared for from start to finish.

I want to say that Doctor Greder is one of the best eye doctors ever and also the young black nurse that I see before I see the doctor was so nice and efficient. This is what you want when you come to see your doctor. Thank you
Had a great visit with Dr. GREDER at Midwest Eye Clinic. He provides quality and professional eye care services. I would recommend him and Midwest Eye Clinic for excellent care.
