I would like to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself and my experience in healthcare. I am originally from Rockford, Illinois and I earned my B.S. degree in bioengineering with a chemistry minor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1998. I continued my studies at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, graduating with honors in 2002.
Following my graduation, I completed an internship and pursued advanced orthopedic training as part of my surgical residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, N.C. In addition, I completed another year at a subspecialty training program, or fellowship, in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
My practice is focused on providing specialized health care to children and teens who have orthopedic conditions resulting from traumatic injuries, congenital deformities, and neuromuscular conditions, as well as general orthopedic care for adults. I have a special interest in sports injuries, pediatric fracture care, congenital deformities, clubfeet, pediatric hip and foot conditions.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to further improve your experience at Ortho Illinois. My goal is to provide you the best medical care available in a comfortable, nurturing environment.
I am looking forward to meeting you.
- Scott Ferry, M.D.

Dr. Ferry is a great Doctor!! He has helped our son since he’s been born and is now 5. Dr. Ferry is kind, relaxed, relatable, knows his craft and has been doing it for a very long time! My advice is just give him a shot.. he’s a great doctor and person.
My son was 2 when we started seeing Dr Ferry and my sone is now 13 and still seeing him.He is the best!! His entire staff is also the greatest. Everyone is caring, gentle and down to earth. I would recommend Dr Ferry 100%
Dr. Ferry is amazing. He takes his time to explain everything thoroughly and go through all the steps if what needs to be done.
Was scheduled to see Dr.Ferry, but didn’t see him. Sent his assistant in to evaluate instead. Would have been nice if he could have taken a moment to pop in. Maybe something else came up.
On time and very easy to talk to. Took the time to answer all of my questions. I was very happy and will be back next time I’m needing an Ortho doctor.
Very nice and took his time explaining all of our options to us!
Very nice and thorough!
John was great & very comforting
Quick time wise and questions answered.
He was great with my daughter, explained things in a way that she could understand, and made us all feel much better about a scary situation.
