Dr. Colquhoun impressed me with his skill, yet unassuming manner. I may need another hip replacement and would not hesitate to ask him to perform the operation.

He is the best Orthopedic doctor, I've ever had! My Hubby and I will continue to be grateful for his expertise and professionalism. He's has given me my best chance at a better future in work.

He uses only one knee prosthesis brand: Smith and Nephew Oxinium. It is the most hypoallergenic knee prosthesis on the US market, based on my research.
If you have metal sensitivities, you won't have to listen to this surgeon tell you there's no such thing as an allergic reaction to a knee prosthesis.
It takes understanding the cutting edge of technology to go against entrenched attitudes regarding metal sensitivities in knee replacement patients.
Based on my research, NIH.gov has published articles on metal sensitivities in knee replacements since at least 2017. The NIH recommended protocol is to use hypoallergenic knee prostheses in patients with known metal allergies.
You won't have to argue that point with Dr. Colquhuon.

I've been seeing Dr Colquhoun for a very many number of years, and I've never been disappointed with the care I've received. He involves you in the decision as to which direction to proceed with his very excellent recommendation. So that you're comfortable. The staff is very polite and professional. I would definitely recommend Dr Colquhoun especially if you want excellent care.

Dr. Scott, as he is known by his patients, is from the area. He graduated from Denair High School. He finished his Orthopaedic Surgery training at the University of Florida, was a Navy doctor for three years, was in private practice in North Carolina for six years and has been in private practice in Turlock for four years.
Dr. Scott is married and has one daughter. He enjoys outdoor activities like gardening, hiking, and skiing. He and his wife both sing in the choir at First Presbyterian Church, in Turlock.
