Dr. Sarah Devine, M.D. brings diversity to our medical team by specializing in internal medicine and pediatrics. She started her undergrad education at St. Louis University has a theater arts major. During school, she became an EMT and fell in love with the medical care field and ended up going to medical school. She started her medical studies at St. Louis University but later transferred to Loyola University of Chicago where her then fiancé, now husband, had a job.

"I think Myrtue Medical Center is unique in that the physicians function in all areas," stated Dr. Devine. "We take care of inpatients, we take care of outpatients, we do ER time, we do nursing part time. So this facility gives us a variety of pretty much everything to do."
Sarah was born at Myrtue Medical Center and grew up in the Harlan community. Her and her husband, Rod, have four children and moved back to the area after being gone for 16 years. Outside of her busy practice, Sarah is a great cook and a talented seamstress and she teaches Taekwondo at the Wellness Center. Her favorite vacation area is Canada for lots of fishing and family time.
