I thought she would do a physical exam.. she is highly rated by other practitioner. I will be glad to keep her as My Urologist. See her in a year. NORM

Experienced and knowledgeable Doctor

Nice enough, this was a phone conversation. I see her in person on Friday, and will know more then.

I think Dr. Spettel is the best urologist I have seen. I went to her for kidney stones my previous urologist didn’t remove. She got them. 10 months later they are still gone. She answered all my questions with patience. I appreciate how much she cares about her patients.

I spent a great deal of time with her medical assistant. Was told they were going to do a bladder ultrasound. I needed to Google reason for ultrasound to find out way. Medical Assistant performed the ultrasound. I did not see MD until we were about 30 min into the appt. She did not mention the results of the ultrasound. I had to ask. Results seemed superficial. Dr. Spettel did a solid job of explaining my options. One was non-invasive and an oral pill. She discussed about 4 invasive options-two in office and two in the hospital under anesthesia. I opted for RX. She advised it may take up to 2 months to shrink the prostate. Post appt I checked the side effects-which I considered significant. These side effects were not discussed during the visit to my recollection. Since potential side effects may contribute to impotence, it would have been very appropriate to ask if was sexually active. We’ll see how I handle this medication & potential side effects. Hoping for the best outcome.

This Appt . Was my 6 month follow up after my kidney stones procedure. I had an X-ray done 3 days prior the appt.

I came early and waited 30 mins for her for the appointment. Cost me 400 for a 10 minute conversation that ended in no real solution for my problems.

Always an outstanding and caring meeting with Dr, Spettle

Told me to take a month full of antibiotics but she said there were no bacteria found in my urine sample. Why would a doctor prescribe a full month of antibiotics to someone that didn’t have any bacteria in their urine sample? It makes no sense. She also assumed that I was sexually active when she didn’t even ask and I didn’t tell her that I am. She kept asking me questions that were in the paperwork I had just filled out, so it makes me wonder if she even paid attention to my paperwork/previous and current symptoms to try and conclude an accurate diagnosis. I let her know that I’m in constant pain that impedes me from living normally some days and that taking AZO/ibuprofen only provide mild relief, however she said to just keep taking them. Overall, she seemed to have a lack of sympathy and just wanted to get me out of there.

Knows her stuff, but cannot get answers to our problems. Good luck getting through to the clinic. Everything needs an appointment even if it's a simple question and even if another doc calls. Clearly only interested in what can be billed for.
