Dr. Sara M. McHugh, D.O., grew up in Southern Ohio and received her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the Pennsylvania State University. She then attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine - GA campus where she graduated as valedictorian. She completed her pediatric residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and spent several years practicing in Pennsylvania before relocating to Georgia with her husband, Matt, and three children.
In her free time, Dr. McHugh enjoys photography, interior design, outdoor adventures, reading, and soaking up all the time with her little ones while they are still little!
Sara was so patient and informative. I appreciated everything she share and the care she took with a challenging conversation with lots of words I had never heard before. I left feeling empowered and knowing what will happen next which is all I could ask for from this appointment.
My son absolutely does not like going to the doctors at all and we went for a sick visit after that he said Mom can we go see Sara from now on her demeanor was amazing and very comforting and she was very knowledgeable
She is great. Explained everything easily. Answered any questions I had without feeling rushed.
