Dr Jurek is such a talented surgeon! She repaired my rotator cuff & bicep and it’s better than ever. There is minimal scaring and the post surgical pain was nonexistent, ice & a few Tylenol was all I took. She provides patients with a portal that helps with pre & post surgical care, she has thought of everything that a patient would have questions about. Her staff is also 5-stars, so kind, caring and compassionate.

Dr. Jurek’s ideal day consists of waking up really early, accomplishing meaningful tasks, and then finding the time for an afternoon nap. The nap rarely happens, but when it does, it is amazing. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her wife, their son, and their dogs. She really enjoys being physically active and particularly enjoys honing what she likes to call “the escape skills” of CrossFit; running fast, jumping high and often, and climbing ropes and bars. She also has some quirky hobbies that she contends make her better in the OR: mountain unicycling, slack-lining, and devising various art and craft projects. She dedicates time regularly to achieving what have become her perpetual New Year’s resolutions: learning Spanish and writing the next Man Booker Prize-winning novel (it’s going to happen this year!).
