Dr Puri is a good Cardiologist, he takes his time and explains everything. Let's you asks all your questions and he can also be funny and make ya smile. Iam blessed to have him as my heart Doctor.

Very impersonal. If I didn’t ask the question he didn’t tell me.
When he was done he asked if I had any more questions and I said no. Then he just got up and walked out leaving the door open.

Poor communicator. Walked in never said anything. Listened to my heart. When he did speak it was with his back to me asking questions consistently.
Wanted to increase BP medication because of one high reading in the office. Told him I had added a supplement and he stated you can take it but it won't help. No discussion. If there's any issue in the future I will seek a cardiologist with better communication skills.

Dr. Puri has been voted several times during his training and faculty tenure as the best teacher and best trainee. He was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, a medical honor society. He was featured on PBC television series, "Aging with Dr. David", on treatment of heart disease in the elderly.
Dr. Puri has written several book chapters, scientific papers and abstracts on diagnosis, prevention and treatment of heart disease. Most recently he received funding from the National Institute of Health for researching the best way to manage coronary disease in diabetic population as part of BARI trial.
Dr. Puri is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He is available for outpatient consultations and follow-up visits at the Moline and Geneseo locations. He has staff privileges at UnityPoint Health Trinity and MercyOne Genesis Medical Centers.
