Sandra Urrego, MD

Sandra Urrego, M.D., was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, a vibrant city known for its strong sense of community, rich culture, and resilience. She earned her medical degree from the School of Medicine Juan N. Corpas in Bogotá and later completed her Family Medicine residency at Southwest Memorial in Houston, Texas.

With more than 30 years of medical experience, Dr. Urrego is highly trained in Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, with a clinical focus on adult and preventive care, diabetes, and hypertension. She is deeply committed to supporting older adults in maintaining their quality of life, managing chronic conditions, and building meaningful, long term relationships with her patients and their families.

Dr. Urrego joined Gonzaba Medical Group in 2026 sharing, “I chose Gonzaba because of its strong commitment to the community and its patient-centered philosophy, especially in caring for the senior population.
