Dr. Samuel Mirrop went to medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He then completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of California at Davis. Following his residency program, Dr. Mirrop served as UC Davis’ Chief Resident of Pediatrics for a year before coming back to Austin. Today, Dr. Mirrop is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Samuel Mirrop has been practicing general pediatrics at Pediatric Associates of Austin for more than twenty years. After completing his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Mirrop went to medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He then completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of California at Davis. Following his residency program, Dr. Mirrop served as UC Davis’ Chief Resident of Pediatrics for a year before coming back to Austin.
Today, Dr. Mirrop is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Since joining Pediatric Associates of Austin in 1994, Dr. Mirrop has had a wide impact on the medical community in Austin. He has served on the following organizations and committees:

From age 1.5 to my son’s current age of 16, Dr Mirrop has provided age appropriate care. He is always on-point care and more recently has provided reasoned and rational responses to the questions and concerns of a teenager who, like most these days, is informed more by TikTok influencers than adult authority figures. I’m so grateful for his patience and reason.
We’ve been with Dr. Mirrop for 17 years. He’s absolutely the best.
He's great with my daughter, makes her feel comfortable and at ease, he's got a good sense of humor with kids. He's also fantastic at answering my questions and sharing knowledge that as a first time mom I feel validated and appreciate.
