She gave good explanations which I appreciated very much. Many doctors can’t do that. When I said I can’t move my arm and I can’t type she smirked at me and said “yes you can”. I technically can place my arm on a desk but typing requires movement and all movement causes excruciating pain in my rotator cuff. Pain in the body means “don’t do that thing that causes pain”. It makes me wonder if she has ever had calcification of her rotator cuff. I am no stranger to pain, I’ve nearly died twice from autoimmune disease, gave birth, and studied med school level neuroscience in college…so I know pain. Please don’t smirk and tell me I can do something when I am telling you I cannot.

Phenomenal surgeon. In my seventies with severe pain in both shoulders, I was no longer able to participate in numerous activities. A year after the second surgery, I can shadow box while holding ten pound weights. Yesterday, one of my swimming days, I swam a mile. I can hold my 35 pound 3 year old grandson in one arm and walk around Disneyland for awhile. I play pickleball, tennis, I ride bikes twenty miles at a time, I shoot baskets with fair accuracy, I walk and jog in soft sand at the beach. I am not as strong as I once was, but Dr. Sandra Kasim did give me my life back. I am renewed in so many ways. She is the best in my book. If you have shoulder problems and you want them taken care of in the best possible way, Dr. Kasim is the only person I would ever recommend to get that done right,

Having a competent surgeon is very important to recover properly and as soon as possible from your injury. Dr. Kasim is and excellent surgeon with impressive bedside manners. I was up and around two days after clavicle surgery with little pain. I was back to work within 5 days. Having a surgeon that looks like a model is icing on the cake. Brains and beauty--some people do have it all!
