I was referred to and seen by Dr. Rao three years ago to be evaluated for prolapse. Currently I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy in January and there is concern that my prolapse has gotten worse and needs to be corrected surgically. If that is the case, it should be corrected the same time my surgery takes place, so I don't have to have two separate major surgeries. At my surgical consult my gynecologist referred me to Dr. Rao again to see if she agreed. I was anxious about this, and hoping to get some answers yesterday, but Dr. Rao refused to see me. I was literally on the examination table, and she refused to come into the room. She stated that she does not do surgery where my surgery is scheduled, so I needed to be evaluated by someone else. I asked if she could evaluate me anyway, just to put my mind and ease and let me know what my future holds. She refused. I took off work to be there, my nerves on edge, and it was all for nothing. Needless to say I am now very upset.

I didn’t get a full, clear explanation of what she diagnosed for me in layman’s terms, especially with this being my first time seeing her and coming to her office. This was after her Carmel office canceled my appointment for being 10 minutes late for my appointment and then they rescheduled me at her Avon office for the next day. Also I was in a wheelchair and her check out person offered me NO assistance, didn’t even offer to open the door for me.
