Originally from Faribault, Minnesota, Dr. Sam Kuchinka, M.D., earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 2013 and then completed Ophthalmology Residency at Saint Louis University in beautiful Midtown Saint Louis, MO, in 2017. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Prior to joining Relf Eye, Dr. Kuchinka practiced Comprehensive Ophthalmology in Northwest WI and Upper Michigan beginning in 2017, focusing on Cataract Surgery, Refractive Laser Correction, Micro-Invasive Glaucoma procedures, and Oculoplastic Surgery.

Dr Kuchinka took the time to explain a new diagnosis in a way that made sense to me.
Sam was very professional and pleasant to work with. He was very thorough and took all of the time I needed to answer my questions. I’m very glad I have him as my eye care provider! He’s also a great conversationalist!
I was nervous about a little procedure but Dr Kuchinka put me at ease. There was no pain and I was very happy with the entire experience.
