Dr. Sam Carpentier, M.D., is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery, diabetic eye exams, glaucoma, and MIGS (minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery). Dr. Carpentier completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, Ph.D. at the University of Washington, and M.D. at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. During his time in medical school he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical student honor society. He then completed his intern year at the University Colorado before completing his ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest, where he was chosen to be chief resident.

The doctor was amazing and his assistant Tanner was very thorough and knowledgeable.
I am impressed with h the Dr. ‘s thorough explanation of the issues I am being seen for today. The amount of time spent with me did not feel rushed in any way. I didn’t feel as if I was eating up all his time and cutting into another waitpatients time. I feel that his staff was attentive and helpful as well as friendly and knowledgeable. It was an overall great experience. Even if I received some unsettling news. It almost saddens me to think that I probably won’t make that location the one I make all my future appointments at. I might have to change my mind about that. Thanks everyone who made this such an enjoyable eye exam!
