Dr. Sclafani did a very thorough examination today . My only concern was his push for XRs on a condition that they’re not needed. No trauma, no injury, no instability, negative exam, chronic knee history, etc. he agreed with my diagnosis from my previous provider who properly diagnosed me with no XRs but then Dr. Sclafani stated his examination today was limited due to the lack of XRs. I’m not sure how a physical examination would change based off of XRs if the examination done was a thorough knee examination AND he agreed on the diagnosis from the previous provider already.

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Sclafani completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at Northwell Health in Long Island, New York. To further his orthopedic surgery training, Dr. Sclafani completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a part of the program, he developed skills in state-of-the-art techniques for open and arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery. Dr. Sclafani also worked as an assistant team physician for the New Orleans Saints NFL team and New Orleans Pelicans NBA team.
Dr. Sclafani has a passion for helping people of all ages return to the activities they love. He enjoys educating his patients on their injury/condition, discussing the various treatment options, and developing an individualized treatment plan for each patient.
