Salman Nusrat, M.D.

Dr. Salman Nusrat, M.D. graduated from medical school with honors. He completed his residency from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and fellowship training in Gastroenterology from University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He was the recipient of professionalism, best graduating fellow and best research fellow awards during his training. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

After completion of his fellowship he joined University of Oklahoma as Assistant Professor. He helped establish and led the Neurogastroenterology and Motility Program at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is passionate about teaching and served as the Associate Program Director, GI fellowship, chaired the Program Evaluation Committee and was the recipient of several teaching awards.

He is an active member of several professional societies including American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterological Association. He recognizes the importance of research and keeping abreast with the latest developments in the field of Medicine. He has not only published numerous research articles but his research work has been recognized as one of the best both regionally and nationally.

He performs routine endoscopic procedures including upper endoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy, as well as pH and motility testing of the upper and lower GI tract. Dr. Nusrat’s strong academic background and specialized clinical experience provides a strong foundation for high quality patient care. His patients adore him for his professionalism, compassion, knowledge and out of box thinking.
