Graduating in only three years with highest honors, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry with a minor in biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The university’s School of Medicine was the site for her medical degree studies.
Dr. Shue completed a transitional internship at MetroWest Medical Center and an anesthesiology residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, both in Massachusetts associated with Harvard University. A fellowship in pain management followed at Columbia University in New York City.
When putting together an individualized treatment plan, Dr. Shue believes medication therapy has a place when the tool is used with caution. “I encourage all my patients to minimize medication use,” she said. “In addition to interventional pain management procedures, I encourage them to use exercise, lifestyle optimization and behavior modification to manage their pain.”
She is driven in her work when patients acknowledge her efforts in contributing to the positive changes they are experiencing. Seeing patients smile and feel better again means everything to her. “Patient-centered care is the most important aspect of medicine,” she says.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Shue can be founding traveling to new destinations and old favorites.

Dr. SHUE is as adept and patient oriented and warmly welcoming as possible. She is so caring and concerned that any discomfort during a procedure calms and reassures a patient. I HOPE YOU WILL SHARE MY COMMENTS WITH HER.

She’s a very nice quiet Doctor. She gives the best she has.
Very satisfied with her treatment of my hip pain
She did a great job giving me a cortisone shot. I just would have liked her to say hello before the procedure rather than when I’m prepped on my belly and can’t look at her. That personal touch would be much appreciated.
