S. Rick Miller, DPM

Dr. S. Rick Miller, D.P.M., has dedicated the past several decades of his career towards “helping patients maintain their best foot forward.” He extends that promise to patients in or around Carrollton and Plano, TX. From helping sports medicine patients improve their jogging/running performance to helping golfers improve their swings, Dr. Miller understands the importance of foot and ankle functioning for athletic excellence. He has built his career and life around reducing discomfort and enhancing performance in athletes and non-athletes alike.

His lifelong commitment to quality in podiatric medicine started with completing his podiatry residency at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, CA. From California, he relocated to the Dallas area in 1976 where he has been serving the local community ever since.

Board-certified in the specialty area of foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Dr. Miller continues to stay informed and educated about leading techniques and technologies that can improve his patients’ lives. In fact, Dr. Miller’s comprehensive training and experience in restorative surgery and foot therapy has allowed him to develop great acclaim in the North Texas area.

In addition to his work at the Advanced Foot & Ankle Center, Dr. Miller is also affiliated with the Baylor Medical Center at Carrollton and the Methodist Hospital for Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. He also maintains professional memberships with the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Dallas County Podiatric Medical Association, and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Miller’s love of golf has led him to get involved with GolfTEC; a golf lesson company focused on golf improvement around the world. When he’s not teaching and enjoying the sport, he is spending time with his wife, Vanetta, and their two dogs, Muffee and Nikkee.
