Dr. Stephens completed his undergraduate studies at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, before completing his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama, and at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
