Dr Tarr always greats you with a smile. He’s very thorough in explaining X-rays, diagnosis, treatment, etc. and takes the time to answer your questions. A very kind and caring doctor.

Professional and friendly. Took time in explaining my diagnosis with concerned and very detailed explaining the medical terms so that I could understand clearly what was going on with my condition. The treatment that was given helped tremendously with the pain I was having.

Dr. Ryan Tarr attended the University of New England with high honors in Biology. He then attended and received his Doctor of Medicine from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His postdoctoral training includes residencies at the Kettering Medical Center working at Grandview, Southview, and Kettering hospital's specializing in orthopedic surgery. After his residency, he completed his fellowship at Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center specializing in hand surgery.
Dr. Tarr relocated to North Carolina in 2020 after completing his fellowship. He specializes in general orthopedic surgery, elbow surgery, hand surgery, and shoulder surgery. He is board eligible with the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, ASSH, American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, AAOS, and American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, AOAO. Dr. Tarr currently resides in the Triangle area with his family.
